“For
I know the plans I have for you,” declares
the LORD , “plans
to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give
you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me
and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with
all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13
Silver Lion Ministries was incorporated in March 2004 in the province of
Manitoba, Canada, after a 10-year process of prayer and preparation.
Gerry Loewen, founder of Silver Lion Ministries, Inc., had been in the
counseling ministry since 1995, but as time passed, he became aware that
the Lord wanted him to minister to a much larger group of hurting people.
In 2001, the Lord spoke to Gerry's wife Carolyn about many people being
healed and blessed through a more public outreach to the hurting. Through
many hours in prayer together, the couple came to realize that the Lord
desired for them to establish this organization, and they felt the Lord
spoke to them the names of their first directors.
“It
was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets,
some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and
teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service,
so that the body of Christ may be built up until we
all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of
the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the
whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians
4:11-13
Meanwhile,
Gerry's long-time friend Scott Miller had also been hearing
from the Lord about establishing a ministry to help bring
healing to men whose children had been aborted. Scott asked
Gerry & Carolyn to join him in this ministry, and the
Lord revealed to them very clearly that they were to come
alongside him. Thus, House of Esau Ministries was born.
The
individual ministries that you see on this website are
a result of the prayers, preparation and passion of many
individuals dedicated to serving the Lord and helping Him
bring restoration to hurting people. Each one is a work
in progress, as they await the Lord's guidance for the
next steps they are to take in each ministry. Please visit
this site regularly, as more content will be added at frequent
intervals.
